The ideal applicant will have 2-3 years' experience assisting doctors and nurse practitioners in an outpatient clinical setting.
Must have excellent communication skills and display professional appearance.
Must maintain confidentiality in all clinical activities and communication.
The ability to speak conversational Spanish is strongly preferred.
On the job training will be provided.
The job provides the potential for the candidate to move up within the organization over time.
On a typical day, the front office administrator will:
Answer the telephone, greet and check patients into the clinics Treats all patients, team members and internal/external customers with dignity Prepare exam rooms for patient use, ensuring that all supplies and instruments are stocked at adequate par levels daily and throughout the day.
Reviews charts daily for patients scheduled with physician, gathering information for appointment , and other documentation as needed.
Completes all required charting and documentation according to clinic guidelines and the direction of the physician and practice manager.
Provides ongoing patient education and advocates for patient needs with physicians and other available social and medical services.
Answers patient calls with clinically related questions, to assist the physician in providing ongoing care and treatment of patients.
Calls patients with lab and imaging results as directed by physician.
Maintain cleanliness in all patient care areas, alerting cleaning service to special needs, and providing basic cleaning duties at the end of each patient care day.
Maintains quality control logs for all lab instruments and equipment.
Assist with Surgery Scheduling and prior authorizations.
Assist with prior authorizations for outpatient imaging procedures.
Follows patient refill procedures Perform other duties as assigned.
